February Featured Instructor: Kristian

Each month we will be featuring one team member and their unique qualities that they bring to CORE and our clients. We hope you get to know each of us a little better and consider training with someone new. This month we are diving deeper with our newest instructor, Kristian!

CORE Buckhead: What brought you to the movement method that you teach? (Pilates, Gyrotonic, Redcord, etc)
Kristian H:  I loved Pilates because it was something that truly anyone could do. It's a very versatile form of fitness and being able to use it for someone who may be recovering from surgery and for a professional athlete makes it exciting for me.

CB: How long have you been teaching?: 
KH: A little over a year.

CB: What do you like most about teaching?: 
KH: I love the variety of my clients and classes and just being able to help people achieve their goals and walk alongside them through the process.

CB: What is your favorite thing about teaching beginners?: 
KH: I love seeing people light up after they complete a difficult exercise or finishing on a specific apparatus and the client saying, "I loved that!" It's all about new experiences and pushing yourself out of your comfort zone and just to get people to that place is an amazing feeling.

CB: What do you hope your clients get out of their sessions?: 
KH: I hope that my clients feel like they achieved something and that they can see their goal coming to fruition. If you leave encouraged in any way then I feel I've done a good job.

CB: What is one piece of advice that you have for clients who are just getting started? One piece of advice for people who have had a long-term practice?: 
KH: Don't get bogged down by comparing yourself to others. Everyone's life journey is different so why would your Pilates journey be the same? If you've been doing Pilates for a long time, I would encourage you to try to something new. Branch out with your routine and challenge yourself to get better at something you struggle with.
