GYROTONIC EXPANSION SYSTEM®

Improve your health. Boost athletic performance. Reduce joint, muscle, and back pain. Build strength, flexibility, and range of motion with GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® methods.

What is the Gyrotonic Expansion System?

The Gyrotonic system embraces key principles found in yoga, dance, swimming, tai-chi and gymnastics to simultaneously stretch, mobilize and strengthen the entire body, especially muscles around the spine, pelvis and core.

Whereas Pilates equipment is spring-based, Gyrotonic equipment is a weight-based pulley system that simltaneously provides traction and resistance to give you stretch and strength. Together, they offer a comprehensive approach to address your core needs.

Why CORE?

The first and only fully-equipped Gyrotonic studio in Atlanta, CORE offers unparalleled instruction to keep your workout interesting.

Unlike more limited studios, CORE incorporates the complete Gyrotonic system of specialized equipment, including the Pulley Tower, Leg Extension Unit, Archway, Jump Stretch Board, and Gyrotoner. This full suite of tools enables us to address a broad spectrum of client needs. Whether you’re a novice who needs a gentle start on the Pulley Tower, a Pilates aficionado who incorporates the Jump Stretch Board to further challenge your core strength, or a high-level athlete taking your training to the next level with the Archway, CORE has what it takes.

In Gyrokinesis (using mats rather than apparatus), we help you systematically stretch and strengthen your body by performing rhythmic and fluid yoga-based movements while sitting, lying down and standing. Special breathing patterns combine with movement to stimulate your internal organs and energy system. You’ll feel like you’ve had a simultaneous workout and massage. Best of all, you can do a Gyrokinesis workout anywhere.

CORE Gyrotonic instructors have studied with Master teachers, completed apprentice teaching, and are licensed to teach Gyrotonic exercise. All CORE instructors complete annual continuing education requirements to maintain certification.
