10 Questions for Trisha Berger, Pilates Instructor

 



1.  If you could live anywhere, where would it be?

 

Miami Beach, FL. I would love to go back and teach on the sand!

 

2.  What qualities do you most admire in others?

 

Honesty, integrity and loyalty.

 

3.  What is your greatest indulgence?

 

Enjoying time with my son and a good chunk of dark chocolate from France, preferably together!

 

4.  What are your most & least favorite foods?

 

Favorite is all types of fruit & lobster, least favorite is pork.

 

5.  What is the last book you read?

 

Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell--amazing.

 

6.  What brought you to Pilates?

 

My lifelong participation in athletics and my gymnastics background--it seemed like a natural fit.

 

7.  Why did you decide to teach?

 

After participating in a Pilates class as part of my fitness routine, I found that Pilates improved both my true strength and the shape of my body like nothing I had ever tried. I was also impressed with the efficiency--I experienced amazing results after an hour of Pilates versus my typical 2 hours at the gym. I began teacher training soon after and the rest is history!

 

8.  Which exercise or concept is hardest for you?

 

Series of 5 on tower with arm springs--it really tests my core connection.

 

9.  What do you love most about teaching?

 

I love seeing my clients happy and healthy--I enjoy a good dose of laughter with the requisite abdominal contraction. I enjoy seeing improvements in their bodies and spirits.

 

10.  If you had to choose a different profession, what would it be?

 

A Fashion Stylist or Artist/Photographer
