Things to Know Before Coming to Class

Arrival: First time clients, please arrive 15 minutes early for your first session. We will show you around the studio and give you a client information packet to fill out before your session. For subsequent sessions, please arrive five minutes early so your instructor can begin your session promptly at your appointment time.

Attire: You will be most comfortable in pants or long shorts (with a fitted underlayer if they are loose) and a shirt or tank that covers the midriff. Please be aware that you will be performing exercises that could cause a loose shirt to drift up the torso or loose shorts to fall open at the hip. In cooler weather, consider wearing layers so you can keep your muscles warm before and after your class. Georgia health code regulations require that you wear socks.

Food: For safety, avoid eating for 30 minutes before and after your session. Please be sure to come to class well hydrated and with a water bottle to avoid dehydration and cramping. Since Pilates and Gyrotonic^® both work the abdomen, avoid heavy meals a couple of hours before class.

Special Physical Needs: If you have any injuries or if you are managing a chronic illness, please be sure to note this on your client information form and share details with your instructor so we can make sure that your regimen is appropriate for you.
