The Pilates method of body conditioning offers a complete physical and mental workout.  Borrowing elements from both eastern and western approaches to fitness training, including boxing, gymnastics, and the martial arts, Pilates is designed around the classical Greek ideal of equally developing mind, body and spirit.  At the core of Pilates are six guiding principles - breathing, centering, control, concentration, precision, alignment, and flowing movement - that make for a more complete and satisfying workout. 

CORE Pilates Expertise

CORE offers the complete Pilates system of more than 500 exercises on spring-based apparatus and a full repertoire of mat-based Pilates exercises.  All CORE Pilates instructors have:

  • Classically trained in the full repertoire of Pilates mat and apparatus exercises
  • Studied with master teachers and have completed a minimum of 600 hours of seminars, observation and personal practice, followed by extensive written and practical exams.
  • Trained in neutral spine approach to appropriately modify exercises to meet your individual needs.
  • Met requirements for annual continuing education
